The Nigerian Army has again denied they were not behind the shooting of unarmed #ENDSARS protesters at the Lekki tollgate on Tuesday night, describing the videos showing military men carrying out the act as “photoshopped.”
The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major Gen. John Enenche, disclosed this in a video.
Recall that onTuesday, October 20, officers of the Nigerian army were caught in viral videos, shooting at #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate, Lagos state.
But in his reaction on the incident, Maj. Gen. Enenche dismissed the videos, claiming they are fake, and photoshopped videos.
In his words, “I even got analysts; people that have analysed the various videos that were cropped and photoshopped and out together. If not that I’m not permitted, I would have forwarded it to your instagram,” Enenche stated.
Recall the Army had denied the presence of its men at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday.
However, in contradiction, Governor Sanwo-Olu on Thursday said security officers who shot at End SARS protesters got the instruction wrong.
