The La Liga giants will therefore be without their two first-choice central defenders for the game against Liverpool.
However, Zinedine Zidane will be repeating the formation of the 2018 Champions League final which Real won 3-1, by setting to field Nacho Fernandez alongside Eder Militao at the heart of his defence in the first leg.
