Security operatives have rescued three people who were kidnapped by bandits along the Zaria-Kano road.

Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs said migrating bandits were forced to abandon the three captives after being engaged by troops.
The Commissioner gave the names of the rescued persons as Abdullahi Lawal, Sadiya Salimanu, and her 10- month old baby, Fatima Salimanu.
Aruwan also said the troops recovered from the bandits nine rustled animals, comprising one cow and eight sheep.
The rescued persons have been reunited with their families, while the recovered animals were handed over to local authorities for proper identification and retrieval.
