It is going to be a classic in outflanking the enemy.

And i guess, it is Nduka Obaigbena who will call for a truce or stylishly stop responding.

Why? Because the adversaries this time, are top industry players, with deep knowledge of the Journalism practices and politics.

Onanuga/Alake’s latest charge against Nduka citing Punch, Telegraph refuting collecting money that Nduka Obaigbena had to be paid into an account where he was sole signatory and not NPAN account is an example.

There is also a claim that Nduka routinely owes salaries, a claim that has persisted for years.

They earlier made that claim, and when Nduka denied it, they brought the charge by current Atiku media aide, Paul Ibe against Nduka Obaigbena in court claiming non-payment of salaries.

Alake/Onanuga clearly have more charges against Nduka, fuelled by industry friends supplying damaging information through back-channels.

They will wait for Nduka to deny a charge, and then release evidence to corroborate it, staining Nduka’s White the more.

They’ve also dragged AriseTV anchor, Rueben Abati saying he is a registered PDP member, who was Buruji Kashamu’s running mate in 2019, questioning how he became a running mate, without being registered member of the party.

Interestingly, Sule Lamido, former Jigawa Governor challenged Abati on same AriseTV, to stop saying “your party”.

“PDP made you”.

Onanuga was Publisher of The News Magazine during the Abacha junta.

Alake was editor of National Concord during the Abacha years.

This kind of fight is their familiar territory.

They have already made a claim that Nduka Obaigbena is in the habit of blackmailing bank chiefs.

To them, the Tinubu Campaign is just a smokescreen for their industry beef against Nduka’s practices backed by silent rivals of Thisday Newspapers

They will so demarket Thisday/ARISETV that Nduka Obaigbena will have to decide whether the price is worth it.
