The ramshackle and the sorry state of some special schools across the country despite huge budgetary allocations has become a sustained occurrence in which the Nigerian Government heedlessly trail on.
These special schools is not with the absence of the ever famous NAGARTA COLLEGE SOKOTO, dubbed The Lion of the savannah, which has housed and produce various notables in Nigeria,
Some of which are; Premier Ahmadu Bello,President Shehu Shagari,Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki,Sultan Maccido,General Aliyu Gusau, Former Military Governor of Kaduna state, Col. Abubakar Dangiwa Umar(rtd), Emir of Gummi, HRH Justice Muhammad Lawal Hassan Gumi, Professor Junaidu Maina of Livestock Abuja, Emir of Bazai-Jangeru, Alhaji Mamman Moriki; former Secretary to Sokoto state Government, Halliru Aliyu Tambuwal among others.
Having produced all these noteworthy persons the school has however been anathematized, execrated, and left to crumble atop the very ground the foundation was built on.
The Federal Government between 2005 to June 2020 had disbursed a total of N15, 172,688,398.51 to states as Special Education Fund (SEF) through the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEBs).
But despite having this much Notable as graduates and also receiving financial supports, the structures of the school remain in poor condition.
