A Petrol laden tanker has exploded at Apakun Bridge in Iyana Idoko in Lagos moments ago.
The cause of the explosion is yet to be established according to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.
Director General of the Agency Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu while speaking to Control TV in Lagos, said the agency has activated its emergency response plan after the fuel tanker caught fire when the body detached from the vehicle head.

He said:“Responders are on the scene to extinguish the fire.”Motorists are to use alternative routes”.Thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the heavier fire just under the bridge where the tanker body detached from the head.
Onlookers besieged the scene not observing social distancing to curb the spread of COVID-19.
