Determined to speed up the wheel of the dispensation of Justice,the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has sworn-in a new President for the state’s Customary Court of Appeal,he is Hon. Moshood Akintunde Babafemi Abass.
The epoch making event was held at the Executive council chambers Agodi, Ibadan.

In attendance were top dignitaries, political leaders,legislators, members of the bar and bench as well as other party faithfuls who had thronged the venue to witness history.
In his remarks, Governor Makinde said the appointment of Justice Abass as the president of court of Appeal followed due process as stipulated by the Oyo State Judiciary Council rules and regulations as well as the Nigerian Judiciary Commission(NJC).

“Swearing in of the President of Customary Court of Appeal shows that we are playing out part in ensuring that the Judiciary system performs effectively across the state. In addition,the state executive revealed that extra budgetary allocation was earmarked to the Judiciary arm of government towards ensuring that judges and indeed Judiciary workers perform their duties in a relaxed and conducive atmosphere”. Makinde said.
