A plane was seen pulling a banner reading “White Lives Matter – Burnley” as it flew over Etihad Stadium ahead of the clash between Machester city and Burnley.
The aircraft Hovered around the stadium just minutes after all players and match officials took a knee in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

However the managenent of Burnley Football club are looking into the incident, as a statement released by the club reads;
“Burnley Football Club strongly condemns the actions of those responsible for the aircraft and offensive banner that flew over The Etihad Stadium on Monday evening,”
“We wish to make it clear that those responsible are not welcome at Turf Moor.
“This, in no way, represents what Burnley Football Club stands for and we will work fully with the authorities to identify those responsible and issue lifetime bans.
Since the season resumed last Wednesday Premier League players have had Black Lives Matter written at the back of their shirts instead of their names in commemoration to Gorge Floyed who died in custody of Minneapolis police.
White Lives Matter is a slogan which has been adopted by white supremacists in response to calls for racial equality.
