Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has lost his mother Abigail Makinde at the age of 81.
Mrs Makinde passed on Thursday, She had celebrated her 81st birthday in July.
Also, Condolence messages have started pouring in from political leaders.
In a tweet on Thursday, former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, mourned the deceased and condoled with the governor and his family.
“At this time, my heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Governor @SeyiAMakinde and his family as they mourn the passing of their dear mother, Madam Abigail Omojolagbe Makinde,” Saraki tweeted.
“As we mourn Mama Makinde’s passing, we also celebrate her life and the positive impact that she had on her community. May the Almighty grant Governor Makinde and his entire family the strength that they need at this time.”
