The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed grief over the death of Sarkin Hausawa of Ebute-meta Lagos, HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Kabir who died at the age of 57.
Kabir passed on Thursday, the 24th of December and was buried according to Islamic rites on Friday, the 25th of December at the Arewa Muslim Cemetery at Jafojo in Agege Local Government Area of the State.
Reacting to his demise on Tuesday, Sanwo-Olu took to his official twitter page to announce the sad demise of Alhaji Muhammadu Sabi kabir. He said
“I join the family, friends and the entire Arewa Community in Lagos to mourn the passing of Sarkin Hausawa, HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Kabir, at the age of 57.

“His major contribution was his tireless fight for the promotion of democratic government in Nigeria as a prominent member of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) during the June 12, 1993 presidential annulment struggle.
“He was a seasoned journalist and co-founder of Tempo and The News Magazines. May his soul find rest with God.”
