Popular Nigerian musicians Runtown and Falz and Also Big Brother Naija Prince on Thursday led a protest in Lagos against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force.
Chanting “End SARS”, they began the protest at 10:30 am from Lekki toll gate to Onikan and the Appeal Court through the Nigerian Law School.
Falz had via an Instagram Live session urged the public to join them but with their face mask and maintain peace.
“No backing down. We move. The police are already there, waiting for us but we are not here to cause trouble. It is a peaceful protest. Coming through,” Falz, son of rights lawyer Femi Falana, had said.
The protesters are seeking the termination of the SARS unit which has been involved in controversies.
Meanwhile, the police had earlier dispersed some youths who arrived early at the venue of the protest.

It was gathered that policemen seized their placards and allegedly assaulted some of them.
