Tennis Superstar Rodger Federer Has now become the world’s highest paid athlete following a recent review by the American business Magazine Forbes.
Rodger Federer is the first tennis player to have top the annual forbes list of world’s highest paid athlete overtaking football star Messi.
The 38 year old Tennis legend moved up four place after earning £88.2 million in the previous year.
Cristiano Ronaldo moved to second with (£85m), Messi (£84m) and Neymar with (£77.5m) while Basketball star LeBron James (£71.5m) which consist of the top five [5]
The Covid-19 pandemic triggered salary cuts for soccer stars Messi and Ronaldo which has made a clear pass for the Tennis star to top the list and rank as the world’s highest paid athlete for the first time in history.
Also Grand Slam champion Osaka has brought an end to Serena Williams run of four years as the higest paid female athlete after she earned a whooping £30.7 million, which is £1.15 million higher than Serena Williams earnings.
