The Federal Government has backed down on plans to reintroduce toll gates across Nigeria.
Minister for Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola had brifed correspondents after the Federal Executive council meeting on the planned re introduction of toll on Federal high ways across the country earlier this week where in he said the Federal Government has concluded designs for the return of toll plazas on Federal roads.
The decision came after much criticism from the general public.
The decision to reintroduce toll gates came fifteen years after the administration of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo scrapped the scheme across the country.
