Gareth Bale has reportedly already agreed to join Manchester United on loan, but there remains one issue to resolve before a deal is confirmed. Despite Bale’s impressive trophy haul during his time at Real, the Welshman has struggled to win over supporters.
Injuries have played their part with Zinedine Zidane seemingly not a big fan of the 31-year-old.
It looked as though Bale’s time in the Spanish capital was going to come to an end last summer.
Terms were all agreed on a mega-money move to the Chinese Super League but Real blocked the transfer at the last minute.
But he would only go on to make 12 La Liga starts, with just two appearances coming during the restart period before being overlooked by Zidane
Speculation has once again increased surrounding Bale’s immediate future at the Bernabeu with a move back to the Premier League touted as a possibility.
United and Tottenham have long been linked with the winger, but his high wages have proven to be a sticking point for any interested team.
However, Deportes Cuatro state United have pressed forward with an approach with Bale already “agreeing” to make the switch to Old Trafford on loan.
It is claimed that United will not be able to pay his full wages though, meaning Real and the Red Devils will need to come to an agreement between them.
