Former Aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has led Nigerians in London, to protest against President Muhammadu Buhari’s medical trip to the UK.
The protest which took place in front of Abuja House, London was tagged #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon.

Omokri in a series of tweet on Friday said:
“The eagle has landed to harass the ego out of London. It is happening people. #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon is on. God willing, I will see you at Abuja House, 2 Campden Hill, Kensington, London W8 7AD by 12 noon. We will observe #COVID19 protocols even as we chase @MBuhari back home”
“I Came Directly From The Airport For #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon. I Did Not Eat or Sleep. I Am Playing My Part. Now You Play Your’s.”
He lamented the inadequacies of Nigeria’s health sector and also criticised the president over the Lekki shooting during the #EndSARS protest in Lagos; rehabilitation of repentant Boko Haram insurgents.
“Our people are suffering while you come to the UK and enjoy the benefits of taxpayers that you did not look after. Buhari, go home.”
Buhari has embarked on several trips to the UK to seek medical care since he assumed office.

Meanwhile, the president in 2019, had lamented that Nigeria was losing about N400 billion to medical tourism annually, adding that frequent medical trips abroad must stop because they are not beneficial to the country.
Despite this, the president departed Nigeria for London on Tuesday, for a “routine medical check-up, which is expected to last for two weeks.
