November 2019 is set as the deadline for completion of the project and commencement of the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail service.
“Our ambition is that by November, we should begin the trial of train services between Lagos and Ibadan for free,” Amaechi said.
The project, which began in June 2017 is a 36km rail line.
