Disturbed by the rising case of banditry in parts of Wase local government area, Plateau State, a Non-Governmental Organisation, People United to Save Humanity (PUSH), has called on the relevant federal authorities to commence investigation into the remote cause of banditry activities bedeviling Bashar and parts of Kadarko districts for subsequent solution.

Speaking to our correspondent on activities of bandits in the embattled areas, spokesman of the organization, Sanusi Muhammad aka Simbrown, revealed that if discreet investigation is conducted tailored to exposing those behind the continuous stay of the bandits for their barbaric action in the affected areas, there is the possibility of arresting several people suspected as brains behind the dastardly acts that has caused the death of innocent persons and payments of ransom.
“Security agencies in Plateau State are doing their best to restore normalcy in the embattled areas but their operations can only be sustained if a discreet investigation is carried out to smoke out those behind the stay of the criminals for the heinous crime unabated that are suspected to be in the midst of the natives who are the targets.

“The paramount traditional ruler in the local government had made a formal public complain to the General Officer Commanding the 3rd Amoured Division/Commandant of Operation Safe Haven operating in Plateau and parts of Bauchi States, Gen. Ibrahim Ali for subsequent action. So far, in one of the security operations to flush out the bandits, two soldiers and one local vigilante member lost their lives which signifies the fire power of the bandits and their determination to remain in action
“A discreet investigation may further support the efforts of the security agencies before the situation escalates beyond comprehension to crawl into neighboring communities most especially as elections are fast approaching and mean politicians may hide under such covers to unleash mayhem on their opponents” he said.
Push further called on those natives in the embattled areas to be bold enough to expose the criminal activities of all those they suspect as associates of the bandits no matter how highly placed for solution deployment to normalize the worrisome situation.
