The Premier League have confirmed that there are no new coronavirus cases from its latest round of testing.
Players and staff at Premier League clubs received their results today after tests were conducted between June 29 and July 5.
In the last round of testing there was one confirmed case from 2,250 tests conducted by the Premier League.
A statement from Premier League reads:
“The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 29 June and Sunday 5 July, 1,973 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, zero have tested positive,”
“The Premier League is providing this aggregated information for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency.
“No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public after each round of testing.”
In total, there have now been 19 confirmed cases out of 16,280 tests conducted by the Premier League.
