Lagos State High Court has given judgement in the case of Murder by suspended Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), he has been sentenced to death by hanging, for the murder of Lagos-based lawyer Mrs Omobolanle Raheem.
Justice Ibironke Harrison has affirmed that the prosecution in the murder case last Christmas day of a lawyer and the Lagos State Government has proven the case against the convict ASP Vandi beyond all reasonable doubt.
“The court finds the defendant guilty on one count of murder. You will be taken from the gallows and hanged by the neck the judge has judged.
On January 16, the Lagos State Government arraigned Vandi before the court for shooting 41-year-old pregnant lawyer to death at the Ajah under-bridge checkpoint on December 25, 2022.
