A great Northern Nigeria Politician and former Presidential candidate of the National Republican Convention (NRC), now defunct Alhaji Bashir Othman Tofa has died.
Alhaji Tofa is reported to have died in the early hours of Monday after an illness according to family sources.
The late Tofa was the late MKO Abiola’s major challenger in the controversial June 12, 1993, presidential election, (verdict 83) keenly watched across the country but eventually annulled by the military government of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
That election according to political analyst Stan’s the best election yet for the country and the establishment of Nigerians you g democracy.
Tofa will be buried according to Islamic rights.
