Former Lagos State Governor Alhaji Lateef Jakande, has been laid to rest today, Friday February 12.
Jakande who died in the early hours of Thursday, February 11, was the first civilian governor of Lagos state.
Late Jakande was governor of Lagos State from 1979 to 1983. He also served as the Minister of Works under the Sani Abacha military regime from 1993 to 1998. He died at the age of 91.

He has been laid to rest according to Muslim rites.
