The Nigeria Governors Forum says its members are ready to commence the repayment of the N614 billion Bailout Fund which the Federal Government gave to some states during the financial crisis of 2015 to 2017.
Chairman of the Firum Kayode Fayemi (Governor of Ekiti State) while speaking in Abuja explains that this will happen only after accounts of the states and the Federal Government has been reconciled.
“The reconciliation process is on going and states that are owing are eager to make repayments once the process is over”
He also said the Firum is pledging further support to the Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN for stable electricity supply.
