The Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party held a valedictory session to mark the end of its four-year tenure which officially comes to a close on Thursday, 9th December, 2021.
The session will be the last official engagement for officials of the 21-member body who are due to hand over party affairs to the incoming Prof. Iyiochia Ayu-led National working Committee.
The session which was declared open by acting national chairman of the party, Elder Yemi Akinwonmi saw speeches from national officers including Kola Ologbondiyan (national publicity secretary), Col. Austin Akobundu (national organizing secretary), Sunday Udeh-Okoye (national youth leader), Mariam Waziri (national woman leader) amongst other attendees.

At the epoch making event were elected members of the incoming NWC including Senator Iyorchia Ayu, Samuel Anyanwu and other members-elect.
The outgoing National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, is not expected to attend the session because of a subsisting Court order barring him from parading himself as national chairman.
