The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released a provisional list of candidates for the Ondo governorship election.
INEC released the list early on Friday, July 31, 2020. The commission had on Tuesday said that 17 of the 18 registered parties have conducted their primaries for the purposes of nominating candidates for the election.
The electoral body also stated that parties have until August 18 to withdraw or replace a candidate on the ballot before it releases a final list for the public
However The parties listed includes the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and 15 other political parties.
