Reports reaching us say that fire has gutted shanties at Okobaba Area of Ebute-meta in Lagos tonight.
The fire is currently burning out of control as residence scamper to safety.
The authorities are yet to get to the scene of the disaster as many more cry for help watching properties destroyed.
The cause of the fire outbreak could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
An eyewitness acvounts say that the incident recurred one year after the area was gutted by fire.
