A backlash on the Ban on Motorcycles on some streets in Lagos is beginning to manifest.

Commercial motorcycle operators in Lagos have gone on a violent act today smashing vehicles and blocking roads in reaction to the ban by the government, which took effect on Saturday February first 2020.

Police Arrest Motorcycle Operators

According to the Police places worst hit are Apapa (Ijora Olopa) and Surulere areas of the state.

The Protesters used Tyres to set up burn fires on the road, stoping and vandalizing vehicles, and also preventing other vehicles from passing on some routes in the metropolis.

The road that exits Apapa towards Nigerian Breweries is reported to be fully blocked with motorcycle operators causing chaos.
