The Commissioner for Environment, in Edo state, Hon. Dame Omoua Oni-Okpaku, has resigned her appointment.
Mrs Dame tendered he resignation letter on Friday evening. She told Reporters “I resigned my position as Environment Commissioner earlier today,” she said,
The past few days has been gloomy for Governor Obaseki as several of his appointees has left his government since he decamped the APC for PDP.
Sources said that the Commissioner was threatened to decamp to the PDP or be fired, a threat that reportedly prompted her resignation.
This development is coming ahead of the forthcoming September 19 Edo Governorship election.
