Following the arrest of persons who manhandled the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC Comrade Jo’s Ajero, the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC and Trade Union Congress TUC have suspended is nationwide strike less than 48hrs after it ordered its affiliated unions to down tools.
Both unions on Wednesday night through its National Executive Council NEC said the suspension followed the intervention of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
The National Deputy Vice-President of the TUC, Tommy Etim, made this known in an interview in Abuja.

labour leaders met with NSA Ribadu alongside the Minister of Labour, Simon Lalong, at the Office of the NSA on Wednesday afternoon.
The NSA had announced that the individuals responsible for the brutalisation of NLC President, Joe Ajaero had been arrested.
