The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 1,368 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.
This was contained in the centre’s daily update via it’s official twitter page on Tuesday.
The NCDC said 1,474 infected persons were discharged following their recovery.
However, 18 new deaths were recorded from COVID-19 complications.

The centre stated that Tuesday’s report include: 762 community recoveries in Anambra State, 132 in Plateau State & 126 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT); data from Enugu State reported over the last two days; and a backlog of deaths reported from Abia State.
According to the NCDC, the new cases on were detected in 27 states and FCT.
Anambra accounted for 344 infections while Oyo State reported 172.
Also, the FCT recorded 148 new cases while Benue State reported 107.

Others are from Rivers (95), Ogun (59), Ondo (56), Ebonyi (53), Kaduna (52), Plateau (46), Kwara (36), Enugu (30), Akwa Ibom (26), Osun (22), Edo (20), Abia (17), Kano (16), Borno (15), Cross River (10), Delta (8) Gombe (8), Imo (7), Ekiti (5), Sokoto (4), Jigawa (3), Bayelsa (3), Nasarawa (3), and Zamfara (3).

The NCDC disclosed that Nigeria has now recorded a total of 148,296 infections.
While 124,483 cases have recovered, 1,777 have died from complications.
