Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 134,690 With 1,138 New Infections, Deaths Now 1,618

Nigeria has recorded 1,138 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure in its daily update on Wednesday night.

The centre also disclosed that, in the last 24 hours, a total of 1,106 patients were discharged after recovering.

The NCDC said the discharges included 476 community recoveries in Lagos State and 121 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.

But 5 new deaths were also recorded.

20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Wednesday.

Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 377.

The FCT recorded 172 new cases while Plateau State recorded 86 new cases.
