Nigeria has now recorded a total of 102,601 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.
This was made known by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily twitter update on Tuesday night.
For over a week, the nation has continued to record over 1,000 new infections.
The NCDC stated that 1,270 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours across the country.
12 new deaths were recorded while 1,083 recovered patients were discharged.
21 states and the Federal Capital Territory recorded new cases on Tuesday.

Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll with 435 cases while the FCT came behind with 234 cases.
Oyo State also reported 103 new cases with Plateau State recording 86 new infections.
Others are from Rivers (71), Enugu (51), Nasarawa (41), Delta (39), Edo (39), Osun (33), Niger (31), Sokoto (23), Ondo (16), Taraba (13), Ebonyi (12), Kano (10), Abia (9), Bayelsa (8), Bauchi (7), Imo (5), Katsina (3), and Gombe (1).

So far, there have been 81,574 recoveries while 1,373 fatalities have been recorded.
