Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases increased from 165,515 it was on Tuesday to 165,559 on Wednesday, indicating 44 new infections.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed this in its daily update on Coronavirus.

According to the NCDC’s data, 16 patients recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres in the country, while a person died of COVID-19 complications
Giving a breakdown of the fresh infections, the NCDC said Lagos State recorded the Lagos reported 28, Rivers-14, Akwa Ibom-1 and Ekiti-1.
As of 12th of May 2021, a total of 2,066 persons have lost their lives to the virus in Nigeria, while 156,374 patients recovered.
