Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases continue to increase, as a total of 1,883 new infections were recorded on Saturday, 30th January 2021.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily update via it’s official twitter account.
Lagos State, reported the highest infections of the day with 1040 cases.

A further state-by-state breakdown revealed the following; FCT (298), Anambra (86), Rivers (54), Taraba (45), Ogun (42), Oyo (40), Akwa Ibom (38), Sokoto (30), Ebonyi (30), Imo (28), Kaduna (28), Osun (27), Kano (21), Benue (19), Edo (17), Gombe (15), Ekiti (9), Delta (8), Jigawa (3), Kwara (2), Bayelsa (2) and Plateau (1).

The Centre for Disease Control added that 932 COVID-19 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country, while a person died of complications.
Currently, Nigeria has confirmed a total of 130,557 COVID-19 cases; 103,712 recoveries and 1578 fatalities.
