Nigeria has now recorded a total of 101,331 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.
This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on its official twitter account on Monday night.
According to the centre, the tests of 1,244 suspected cases came back positive.
While 461 patients were discharged, 3 new fatalities were recorded.
The NCDC noted that the discharges include 144 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
17 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded the new cases.

Lagos recorded the highest new cases with 774, followed by the FCT with 125 cases.
While Plateau State recorded 102 new infections, Anambra State recorded 47.
Others are from Ondo-46, Rivers-27, Edo-18, Kaduna-16, Ogun-16, Gombe-16, Bauchi-11, Kano-11, Nasarawa-10, Akwa Ibom-7, Sokoto-7, Borno-5, Ekiti-4, and Zamfara-2.

So far, a total of 80,491 patients have been discharged following their recovery from COVID-19.
However, a total of 1,361 patients have lost their lives to the disease.
Earlier on Monday, the Federal Government advised Nigerians to take responsibility and adhere to safety guidelines as the nation passed the 100,000 mark.
