Data made available by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday has shown that the nation recorded 44 new COVID-19 cases.
The fresh cases which were reported in just 5 States; Enugu-22, Lagos-15, FCT-4, Osun-2 and Kaduna-1, take Nigeria’s total confirmed infections to 163,837.

NCDC noted that 70 patients were discharged and one death was recorded in the day under review.
As of the 12th of April 2021, a total of 2,061 persons have lost their lives to the virus in Nigeria, while 154,177 persons recovered.
