Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 1,964 new cases of coronavirus disease within the country.
NCDC revealed that the new infections were recorded in 23 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
While Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 824, Abuja had a record of 246.

The record of other states include Plateau (166), Kaduna (128), Ogun (76), Nasarawa (74), Anambra (69), Edo (50), Rivers (45), Ondo (44) Niger (40) and Oyo (38).
Other states are Adamawa (35), Kano (31), Akwa Ibom (27), Gombe (19), Kwara (13), Ekiti (12), Delta (6), Kebbi (6), Bauchi (5), Ebonyi (4), Osun (3) and Zamfara (1)
In its update, 7 persons were recorded dead, while 989 patients recovered and have been discharged.
