Nigeria Records 521 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Now 152,074 With 1,839 Deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Sunday, announced 521 new infections, which take the total confirmed cases in the country to 152,074.

The NCDC report revealed that the fresh infections were recorded in 20 States of the Federation.

A State-by-State breakdown revealed the following; Lagos-166, Ogun-52, Rivers-47, Adamawa-37, Ebonyi-37.

Akwa Ibom-25, Osun-21, Bayelsa-18, Kaduna-17, Oyo-16, FCT-15, Ekiti-14, Kano-12, Edo-12, Borno-9, Yobe-8, Ondo-6, Nasarawa-4, Bauchi-2 and Kwara-3.

The Centre for Disease Control further disclosed that 614 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country, indicating 128,619 total recoveries.

Also, 9 persons died of complications as the nation’s fatality cases hit 1,839.
