First-half goals by Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron put the Magpies on course for three points and despite Harry Kane’s headed effort at the start of the second half, the visitors held on for a fourth win from their last five games.

It was another impressive display by Saudi-backed Newcastle against a top-six club after a narrow defeat away to Liverpool and draws with both Manchester sides this season.
There was controversy around the opening goal as Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris collided with Callum Wilson as he tried to clear his lines but Wilson maintained his cool by sending the ball into the net in the 31st minute of the game.

Newcastle bagged their second goal in the 40th minute after Miguel Almiron made a great solo run past defenders before pulling the trigger from inside the box to beat Hugo Lloris.
Tothenham however got a goal back through their in-form striker Harry Kane.
The England international was well positioned to head in the goal from the inswinging corner kick in the 54th minute.
After several missed chances from both teams, the final whistle confirmed Newcastle’s hard fought victory sending them to the top four on the premier league table.
