The National Examination Council (NECO) administrative department has informed the zonal coordinators and State Officers of the commencement of BECE and SSCE examination.
Its Director Umar Abba disclosed this in a statement titled “2021 BECE and SSCE (1) Examination Period.”

The statement reads: “I am directed to inform you that the Examination Periods for the
2021 BECE, SSCE (I) and BECE Resit will hold as follows:
BECE: 31st May to 15th June, 2021
SSCE (I): 5th July to 16th August, 2021;
BECE Resit: 11th August to 12th August, 2021.
“In view of the above, you are to kindly disseminate this information to all schools in your State and advise them to conclude the registration on time”.
“Find attached a copy of the timetables, schools can also download from the Council’s website”.
“Please note that the registration for the Examination (BECE and SSCE (I) commenced on 30th March, 2021. Please treat with utmost urgency”.
