The Nigerian Navy has asked the Managing Director of the Nations Ports Authority to hand over its boats for better surveillance against Cases of stowaways piracy and other forms of criminality at the ports waterways.
this is the position conveyed to the NPA boss Mohammed Béllò-Koko through the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command RADM. Mustapha Hassan in Lagos.
other issues raise by the NPA boss at the brief meeting includes the congestion of trailers totally blocking rights of way, call up systems for trucks, and bad roads leading to the ports to which he said the Coordinating Minister of the Blue Economy Gboyega Oyetola has started talks with the minister of works to sort out the bad roads challenge.
