Young Agripreneurs are left heartbroken as flood wipes out a Poultry farm settlement around Olusola Saraki Abattoir, Alagbado, Ilorin, leaving thousands of chickens dead in the process.
The aggrieved parties after counting their loses have solicited for the support of the Kwara State Government as it is their only source of livelihood.
While narrating their ordeal, Abdulganiyu Nasiru in a chat with our correspondent revealed their Poultry farm which housed over 2000 broilers as at Sunday April 18, 2021 was engulfed by massive flooding, killing them in the process.
According to Abdulganiyu, it is a joint partnership venture between friends; Azeez Ayodele, Olaniyi Olatunbosun and Shittu Yusuf Olatunde. “We have invested about N4million within three months he said”.

”It’s unfortunate, disheartening and devastating experience for us. We started the poultry in January and already negotiated with off taker that will buy all the chicken. The early morning rain restraint us from going to the poultry but we later received call about the bad news around 8:30am” He explained.
He therefore appealed to Kwara state government and others to come to their aid. ”We really don’t know where to start again but we trust God to help us.”
