Football superstar Lionel Messi has become almost unrecognizable as he shaves his beard The football icon shared a picture of his new look on instagram earlier today.
The photo messi shared was taken during training ahead of the resumption of the La Liga which is set to return next month June 8.
However suppositions has been going around as to why the superstar shaved his beards; Some say it was due to the pandemic so as to create less infectious area in the body, while others think the football genius just wanted a new look.
The Legend and also world best player started keeping his beard since 2016; When asked in an interview why he kept his beards, He then explained the odd reason behind it.
”If i loose my beard the others would kill me, we believe this Kabbalah so we would be able to break out bad run and win the trophy (Copa America).
There’s is no way I’m shaving it off now my teammates wouldn’t let me”
The Argentine announced his retirement from international football when he lost a penalty shoot-out against Chile in the Copa America But later reversed his decision after a month.
