Manchester United have confirmed ighalo loan extension, the forward has agreed to extend his current deal which would keep him at Old Trafford for the rest of the year.
Odion arrived from Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua on a temporary loan deal on the last day of the January transfer window, For cover as Marcus rashford was injured at that time.
Ighalo has impressed the Manchester side Scoring 4 goals in his 8 appearances for the club. His dedication for the club and and enthusiasm has made The club extend his loan until the end of the campaign even as Marcus Rashford returns from injury.
After weeks of negotiations, The two clubs agreed on a deal which would see ighalo complete the remaining year at old Trafford, United had paid Shenhua a loan fee for the initial five months spell and it is understood the Chinese side would receive another payment from the Red Devils for the extended period.
In an interview with MUTV The manager solksjaer said
”It’s been a dream for him and hopefully he can finish off what he started, with a trophy for us”
“ Everyone is looking sharp, everyone’s been in a good mood and we’ve been splitting up in groups, working in four to five together, and they’ve really done well. So far it’s been good”,
The premier league is set to restart on June 17 and Solskjaer should have a fully fit squad at his disposal with Pogba and Rashford both completing their injury spell during the lockdown.
