♦African Raggea Musician Majekodumi Faseke popularly known as Majek Fashek is not Dead but doing well.
That’s according to his Friend and Manager Umenka Uzom.
News of his passing went viral on social media that the Rain Maker had passed on to greater glory in a London hospital.
He told Control TV in a conversation that the singer/song writer is fast recuperating and will soon bounce back.
In a chat, the manager of the veteran singer said quote “He is improving fast.
Reports say Mr. Femi Otedola, one of Nigeria’s renowned business mogul and philanthropist had offered to pay for Majek’s medical bills although the nature of the sickness had not been fully disclosed.
In 1988, Majek Fashek came to lime light with his single “Send Down the Rain”… that sold millions of copies all over the world.
At the peak of his career, Majek was one of the finest singers in Africa, touring the world in sold out music concerts, although he fizzled out from public glare at a time when there was anticipation for more of his kind of music. Majeck tried to get his acts together in what many say were failed attempts.
While fans attributed his dip in singing to drug addiction, Majek maintains that the challenge was more spiritual than what meets the eye.
