The Edo Governorship Election Commence Today as Various Aspirants are arriving their respective polling Unit to cast their Vote.
Also, Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in majority of the polling units in the state have begun accreditation of voters.
Although the situation does not suggest the likelihood of violence, there is massive security presence in cities, town and villages.

Collected PVCs: 1,726,738
Uncollected PVCs: 483,796
Number of Polling Units: 2,078
Governor Of Edo state Godwin Obaseki Who is bidding for a Re-election under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party PDP has arrived his polling Unit.
Also Arriving at the scene is the Former governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole, He arrived PU 001, Uzarue North East ward 10, Etsako West LGA, to cast his vote.
Candidate of the All Progressives Congress Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has casted his vote in Iguododo ward 5 unit 26 orihomwan local Government
The other 14 candidates battling for the seat of the governor of the state Includes:
Edemakhiota Godwin Osaimiamia (Action Alliance); Mabel Oboh (African Democratic Congress); Iboi Emmanuel (Action Democratic Party); Osagie Idehen (All Progressives Grand Alliance); Amos Osalumese Areloegbe (Action Peoples Party); and Igbineweka Osamuede (Allied Peoples Movement).
Others are Osifo Uhun-Ekpenma Isaiah (Labour Party); and Agol Tracy (New Nigeria Peoples Party); Stevie Nash Ozono (National Rescue Movement); Felix Izekor Obayangbon (Social Democratic Party); Osagiobare Jones (Young Progressives Party); and Akhalamhe Amiemenoghena (Zenith Labour Party).
