Noah Lyles faild to prove his worth in the finals of the 200 m men events at the Paris Olympics. Lyles, who stormed out of the waiting room onto the tracks, roaring like a lion, could not perform as expected when it really mattered.

Letsile Tebogo won the race with a new African record of 19.48 seconds better than Frankie Fredericks of Namibia. Tebogo had said he was running the 200 m in memory of his deceased mother. He held a stern face throughout the Olympics this season, hoping to win this very medal in honor of country determination Mother and self.

He goes down in history as the only African to win the 200m men Gold at an Olympic game.
Lyles placed third behind fellow American runner Kenneth Bednarek who ran 19:62.
