Lagos State Government on Thursday, commenced a coroner’s inquest into the death of two pupils of Ojodu Grammar School (Babs Fafunwa Millennium School), who were killed by a driver.
Recall that Control TV News had reported that a truck driver on December 7 crushed pupils of the school on Ogunnusi Road, Grammar School Bus-Stop.

The victims were going home after closing from school around 2pm when the truck ran over them.
The police, in a statement, said two of the victims were confirmed dead and 12 others injured, adding that the truck driver was arrested.
The coroner’s inquest, headed by Magistrate Peju Ogunsanya, was held at the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court, Ogba.
The state government was represented by O. E. Akinde, while T. E. Olawanle represented the families of the students.
The Principal of the school, Stella Folake, who was present at the sitting, told the magistrate that two students died in the incident while four of the injured victims were still in the hospital.

The Divisional Traffic Officer of the Ojodu Police Station, Ruth Nwoye, said the driver was arrested after he initially escaped from the scene of the incident.
Magistrate Ogunsanya, who noted that invitation would be sent to eyewitnesses, adjourned the matter till January 28 for hearing
