The NLC TUC planned Strike has started in effect as the government and Labour despite a last ditch effort to postpone the strike met a brick wall.
Labour is insisting on going ahead with the nationwide strike planned for today June 3.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the house of representatives, Tajudeen Abass conveyed a last-minute meeting yesterday night (Sunday) in a usual fire brigade approach to avert the proposed indefinite strike by organised labour over the minimum wage and electricity tariff hike but failed.
In a terse message posted on its X handle late Sunday, the NLC said “Strike Action Goes on, A living wage is Possible”.
