Spanish Prime Minister “Pedro Sanchez” has cleared La Liga to restart season, Following guidelines from Ministry of health.
Football in spain is set to return as it was suspended on 23rd of March due to the Coronavirus Pandemic with Barcelona ahead of rivals Real Madrid with only 11 matches left to play.
The league president “Javier Tebas” Stated in a recent interview that he is very pleased with the decision and also assured people that Laliga wont be the only recreational activity that would return.
According to him “Spain has done what it should do and now new horizons are opening for everyone. The time has come to bring back many day-to-day activities.”
”From 8 june, Laliga will be back. Spanish football has a huge following but it will not be the only recreational activity that will return.”
”We are very pleased with the decision said Tebas. And it is a result of the great work of clubs, players, coaches, CSD (National Sport Council) and agents.
He added; ”But we cannot lower our gaurd. It is important to follow health regulations and ensure the pandemic doesn’t come back.”
Five players have tested positive for the Coronavirus across Spain top division and have gone into isolation. The leagues would resume with strict rules and regulations from the ministry of health.
