There are growing fears of the ability of the federal fire service as well as the Lagos State fire service to contain the fire which broke out on the Kara bridge on the lagos-ibadan expressway early this morning.
Effects of the fire service seems to have been thwarted by the huge fire that has continued to spew at intervals.

Control TV at the scene of the accident monitored the situation up till now and it shows that the fire service encountered some level of difficulty in containing the fire as it could be seen billowing from the tanker and ruins from the early morning explosion.
This has brought to question the capacity of the Federal fire service and the Lagos State fire service to contain blistering inferno’s such as the one recorded on the Bridge today.
Many have suggested that the fire service departments in the country be fully equipped to be able to face disasters of high-magnitude such as this one.
